Why We Run For The Troops?

Bill Pennington, the founder of Run for the Troops, established the organization to honor his parents and all individuals who serve the United States. His mother served in the Marines, and his father was a Navy serviceman for 30 years. Pennington’s motivation is deeply rooted in his family’s military service and the sacrifices they, along with other veterans, have made. He emphasizes the importance of recognizing not only those who serve in the armed forces but also their families, who contribute significantly by managing home affairs in their absence.
